Dr. Sema Kultufan

Bio:

Prof. Sema Kultufan Turan works as the coordinator chief of the intensive care clinic of Ankara City Hospital, which is the largest hospital in Turkey.

She graduated from Ankara Medical Faculty in 1996. She specialized in anesthesiology and reanimation at Turkiye Yuksek Ihtisas Hospital which is a very important Cardiovascular Surgery and Solid Organ Transplantation Center in 2001. After the specialization she worked in the same hospital as an anesthesiology and reanimation specialist. She received her intensive care specialization in 2013. She was honored with an Assoc Prof degree in 2014 and Professor in 2021. She currently works as the chief of intensive care clinic at Ankara City Hospital, which is the leading ECMO center in Turkey. She also works as a lung transplant anesthesiologist. Prof Sema Kultufan Turan has many articles, book chapters and studies on ECMO.

She is a board member of Society of Turkish Intensivists.
