Bio:

Professor of Pediatric Critical Care at Emory University and Director of Pediatric ECMO and Advanced Technologies at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Globally, my research interests relate to the use of advanced technologies, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, apheresis, and continuous renal replacement therapies (CRRT) in critically ill children. My translational research focus Is KIDSCRRT – an NIH and FDA funded novel neonatal & pediatric CRRT device and the development of several other pediatric medical devices. Clinically, I serve as the director of pediatric ECMO, and am responsible for our clinical, quality, and administrative goals. I have been active in extracorporeal therapies research related to kidney injury during ECMO, and am one of the founding members of the KIDMO group that has published on this topic. I have served the ELSO community in the past as the ELSO registry co-chair from 2010-2016, and am the President for ELSO for 2020-2022.
